Young woman died as a result of domestic violence

ELBERT COUNTY, Ga. – Elbert County Coroner Chuck Almond has identified an individual who died as a result of domestic violence.

Ms. Destiny Autumn Huff, 21, of a Bowman Highway address was pronounced deceased by Coroner Almond 12-31-22 at 07:38.

According to Coroner Almond, the suspect believed to be responsible is in custody at this time.

Members of EMS, Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, GSP, Hart County Sheriff, and Franklin County Sheriff responded.

The incident is being investigated by Elbert County Sheriff’s Office.

Her obituary reads:

Miss Destiny Autumn Huff, 21, of Bowman Highway, Bowman, passed away tragically on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at her residence.

Destiny worked in the pizza industry, but was most proud of being a stay-at-home mom. She loved her kids dearly and devoted herself to them. Destiny will be most remember for her heart of gold and stubborn attitude. Fortunately, she leaves behind a multitude of TikTok videos with her and her children that they can cherish forever.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Harmony Berry (4) and Andrew Nicholas Berry, Jr. (2); parents: Shane Dale Huff of Monroe and Christy Janet Stowe Huff of Bowman; sister, Sabrina Stowe of Bowman; and grandparents: Keith and Penny Stowe of Elberton and Vickie Huff of Alabama. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Dilmus Huff.

A celebration of Destiny’s life will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 2 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Jamie Callaway officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00-1:45p.m. prior to the service.
