Fatal crash on Bowman Highway

ELBERT COUNTY, Ga. – The Georgia State Patrol is now investigating a fatal crash that happened near Bowman Highway and Hewell Rd on April 16.
According to the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office page, “Elbert County E911 received a call of a vehicle crash at approximately 05:02 on April 16th.”
Upon arrival, one fatality was discovered at the crash and Bowman Highway was shut down for three to four hours.
ECSO stated that ‘Members of EMS, E911, Elbert County Fire Department, First Responders, Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, GSP, GA DOT, and Elbert Coroner’s Office responded.’
They also thanked everyone who responded and assisted with the incident.
